Feeling weary? Morning Devotions then.

Today has been busy. I started the day feeling tired which doesn't give anyone a good start does it?
As I walked round town luggin two bags, a jacket and my daughter walking next to me, I could start to feel the stress of the day getting to me slightly. I thought to myself when am I going to get home.
Jesus says to us, 'come to me all you who are burdened and weary and I will give you rest.' I felt I needed that rest.
When we are too busy our devotional times with Jesus get overlooked and I have from experience, felt alot of discontent and not at peace.
In fact someone at the hospital noticed today that I wasn't my ususal self and being a 'regular' in that department, it's made me aware of how important it is to keep on being disciplined with my morning devotionals.
So, I feel that a good way to start the day is in prayer and saying declaration prayer to get us prepared for what lies ahead of us. Each day is a new day and if we are not rested and at peace from our morning devotions and time with Jesus, people will notice and we need to show people in our lives who he is and that includes feeling rested and at peace with Him in our storms. Even when we don't actually talk about Jesus -people will notice His presence with us and the more time we spend with him, the more peaceful we will feel and confident about life and what He can do through us.
