In life, we spend a long time wondering what our purpose is. Why are we here, what are we meant to do?
Living with on going illnesses makes it harder to understand purpose. When you have been in bed because of pain and lack in movement, you wonder what is the reason for this?
I know there are people worse of and are bed ridden every day but I still continously ask God - why are you not doing something about this? It drives me crazy - it makes me actually really cross, because I have things that need doing.
However, spending life letting anger and frustration manifest is not a good thing, it makes us more ill, tired even, and then what state is our mind when it's full of bitterness and anger. I just have to trust God and revert back to Psalm 139. Because He know's our heart, he knows why we go through what we go through. We need to TRUST.
So when the going gets tough, let God have is way in our lives. If we have to go back to bed because we are ill, lets use this opportunity to rest and pray. Lets see the positive side of illness, because Jesus wants us to make the most of our lives, and He wants us to shine for Him.
He wants to shine in our storms, and lets draw people to Him through our troubled Seas.
