Jesus the Shepherd.

Today, we went to the garden centre for some chill out time. On the way there we drove through country side, past fields, past the canal, through a couple of villages. It almost felt as though we were on holdiay.
On the way back, I noticed a field full of sheep and lambs. What caught my eye, was a sheep with it's lambs. The lambs were following the mum they were happy, they were content and having fun just trusting the mum to lead the way.
And as things like this normally get me thinking, that is how our relationship with Jesus should be.
We need to let him be our shepherd, we need to make life less complicated doing things in our own strength and in our own way, and just be happy that God has everything planned for a reason.
We need to follow him like we are lambs following their mother. In total awe and trusting every step.
And as followers of Christ, we also need to lead those who don't know him and we need to tend to their needs like he attends to ours, so they know the good news and see the good faithful Shepherd he is to us.
Here is the verse that came to mind - John 10:11
"I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.
- John 10:11
